A new edition of the Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World is a huge publishing event that happens only once every four years. The launch of the latest twelfth edition of the Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World created intense media interest. One of the main areas of interest was what changes had occurred to the mapping as a result of environmental impacts. The day of the launch saw national news coverage in newspapers, radio, television and online. The highlight of which was a feature about the atlas on the evening BBC news programmes with David Shukman interviewing Editor-in-chief Mick Ashworth at the Royal Geographical Society in London.
